Weekly Sports World Podcast Begins January!

I am happy to announce that Weekly Sports World will be starting a weekly podcast show beginning in January. This show will focus on different sports stories, and my opinions on the matters. The goal for this show is to provide another avenue to express opinions on sports topics besides just the text-based content that has been posted.

A little bit of background before the first podcast airs; it will be a mixture of sports thoughts, game picks, trivia games, and other ideas to keep fans entertained. These shows will be recorded shows, not live (sorry), and will be located on the main page every week in 30-45ish minute segments. Regarding the language being used during the show, this show will not be safe for anyone under the age of 16 without adult supervision. If you don’t like the language that will be used during the show, well then don’t listen to it.

I would also like to keep the fans engaged during the show as well. Fans will have the opportunity to tweet the show throughout the week, and possibly have them read on the podcast when I record it on either Tuesdays or Wednesdays. In addition to that, you can also send messages to the Weekly Sports World Facebook page as well if you don’t happen to have a Twitter. Then, there will soon be a text line where fans could text their questions in as well. You can begin to send in these questions through social media NOW using the hashtag; #TheWorldsPodcast

This show will not replace the articles that are normally posted on this site, just add to the content.

Finally, if you would please SHARE the crap out of this message! Let everyone know!

Finally, I hope that everyone is having an amazing holiday season so far, and I hope that everyone has a Happy and Safe New Year.

Weekly Sports World Weekly Picks: Week 16

In week 15, Weekly Sports World saw one of it’s best records as of late; posting an 11-4 record (I know I missed the Thursday game). Not alot of surprise wins that came out of Week 15, but I was a little surprised that the Falcons actually beat the Jaguars with the way both teams have been playing. But overall, still an entertaining week of football. But now, it’s on to Week 16, and we are one week closer to the end of the season. So, without further ado, here are Weekly Sports World’s Weekly Picks for Week 16 of the 2015 NFL Season;

Oakland beats San Diego

Washington beats Philadelphia

New England beats New York Jets

Houston beats Tennessee

Kansas City beats Cleveland

Indianapolis beats Miami

Detroit beats San Francisco

Buffalo beats Dallas

Tampa Bay beats Chicago

Carolina beats Atlanta

Pittsburgh beats Baltimore

Jacksonville beats New Orleans

Seattle beats St. Louis

Arizona beats Green Bay

Minnesota beats New York Giants

Denver beats Cincinnati

Roger Goodell Needs To Be Fired!

For those who may not know, according to ESPN.com news services, Odell Beckham Jr. has been suspended for one game for his actions against Josh Norman on Sunday, which included a malicious helmet-to-helmet shot to Norman. This needs to be the last nonsensical, moronic decision that Commissioner Goodell will ever make in the NFL. This man needs to be fired from his position so that we can restore some integrity to the decision making of the NFL.

With OBJ, to start, how in the world do you not suspend him for more than one game? I don’t care if tensions were high, and those two were battling the entire game; if you maliciously intend to throw your body at someone like that, you deserve a multiple game suspension. The only reason, in my opinion, that OBJ didn’t receive a longer suspension is because he’s “must see TV” with all of his amazing catches he makes. The NFL and Goodell is afraid that they will lose even more viewers if they were to suspend him for longer, so they kept it small to make it seem like they are doing something.

Then, you also have the assortment of other big stories that occurred in the past, which included the suspensions of Greg Hardy, as well as the “riveting” tales of the New England Patriots and DeflateGate. (I use the word “riveting” in the previous sentence as sarcasm, if you didn’t notice.) At one point, for those who didn’t know, Brady and Hardy ACTUALLY were suspended for four games for their respective infractions. Which lead myself, as well as alot of people across the nation, to think; “So NFL, deflating footballs with relatively no evidence to show for it is equal to assault of a woman?” (Yes, I know Brady got his suspension wiped, I’m talking about before that.)

Combining this mess with the assortment of moronic uniform violations that players have faced this season, and that is a recipe for bad members at the top. Roger Goodell, you’ve done your time in this organization, and now your time is done.

Weekly Sports World Weekly Picks: Week 14

WOW! I am sorry everyone, I completely spaced publishing my picks before the Thursday night game. But, I’m here now, and the Thursday Night game will not count toward my final record at the end; (but really, who didn’t see Arizona winning that game?) Having said that, what a week for football we had last week, huh? The Patriots losing to the Eagles definitely caught me by surprise! And what about that ending in Detroit on Thursday night? Also, as a quick message to the Chicago Bears for what I saw in that game; PUT A BODY ON THE QUICK GUY ON THE FIELD!!!! The fact the defense let Torrey Smith escape into an empty field like that is beyond me! But, this is a new week, so without further ado, here are Weekly Sports World’s Weekly Picks for Week 14 of the 2015 NFL Season.

Buffalo beats Philadelphia

San Francisco beats Cleveland

Detroit beats St. Louis

Tampa Bay beats New Orleans

New York Jets beat Tennessee

Cincinnati beats Pittsburgh

Jacksonville beats Indianapolis

Kansas City beats San Diego

Chicago beats Washington

Carolina beats Atlanta

Seattle beats Baltimore

Denver beats Oakland

Green Bay beats Dallas

New England beats Houston

And in the oh-so thrilling Monday Night game, New York Giants beat Miami

Weekly Sports World Weekly Picks: Week 13

I’m not going to lie, the Thanksgiving games kind of sucked last week. The only good game was the night game when Chicago beat Green Bay at Lambeau Field. But the other games, especially the Philly vs. Detroit game, were just totally one sided. But besides that, overall the Weekly Sports World Picks really improved this week; posting an 11-5 record in the 16 games played. But now is a new week, and we are getting even closer to playoff football. So, without further ado, here are Weekly Sports World’s Weekly Picks for Week 13 of the 2015 NFL Season;

Detroit beats Green Bay (My upset of the week)

New York Jets beat New York Giants

Arizona beats St. Louis

Atlanta beats Tampa Bay

Seattle beats Minnesota

Houston beats Buffalo

Baltimore beats Miami

Cincinnati beats Cleveland

Jacksonville beats Tennessee

Chicago beats San Francisco

Denver beats San Diego

Kansas City beats Oakland

Carolina beats New Orleans

New England beats Philadelphia

Pittsburgh beats Indianapolis

Washington beats Dallas
